Cris Cyborg has told Ronda Rousey that she needs therapy to recover from their feud which has lasted through multiple many years.

Cyborg has been a staple of ladies’s combat sports for over 20 years, and had already established herself as a star of the game by the point Rousey was making the switch from Judo in 2010. The duo have been at odds ever since, although they never managed to fight each other.

And while the Brazilian has stayed fighting while Rousey left for skilled wrestling and other endeavors, their feud remains to be as fresh as ever. Cyborg is understood to try and keep things somewhat friendly, but Rousey as recently as before her fight with Gina Carano has not been shy in slating her rival.

Through the build-up to their Netflix super-fight that broke US viewership records in May, Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano were incredibly friendly. It appeared that the previous UFC champion was more at odds together with her ex-promotion and specifically Hunter Campbell.

And one of the explosive moments of the event’s launch press conference was an outburst from Rousey when she tore into her old rival Cyborg on her opponent’s behalf. She branded the Brazilian a ‘cheating, roided-up b—-,’ and insisted that she had ‘totally cheated’ Carano out of the Strikeforce title.

“I imagine she only got here back because she knew she could beat Gina Carano,” Cyborg told Bloody Elbow on the launch of her PFL Summer Series retirement bout with Ketlen Vieira in Tampa on August 22. “It didn’t surprise me that she beat Gina who’s been out for 17 years with no training doing movies.

“Ronda was born doing judo. She might be blind and she or he’s going to have the option to take you down, I knew what was going to occur but good for her coming back because I believe it’s message to send to the fans.

“Once I saw [the press conference] I felt sorry for her because everybody has passed a tough time of their life and you could have to beat so it doesn’t change you. I feel like when she did that she was ten years retired after every thing and she or he still hated me.

“I never did anything to that girl! Before she began fighting I used to be already champion, I never did anything against her, she had this repute and was calling me out because no one knew who she was on the time and she or he needed people to know who she is.

“But then when it starts coming true that ‘possibly you’re going to fight Cyborg’, then she got scared. I don’t see a reason for an individual like her to hate me, her mom who I see all over the place may be very nice to me and I wish one of the best for her.

“I believe she really needs some therapy to get it together and put together that life is gorgeous. Hard times can occur, but she must grow up.”
