AJ Lee has given fans a glimpse into her time away from WWE, sharing a set of vacation photos alongside her husband, CM Punk.
The previous WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion took to Instagram to post several snapshots from their getaway, with one photo catching fans’ attention due to the looks of Punk’s noticeably muscular shadow.
Lee has been away from WWE programming since losing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42. While she has remained off weekly television, she recently confirmed that she is going to appear in Season 3 of WWE: Unreal, which premieres on Netflix next month.
Punk has also been absent from WWE TV because the RAW after WrestleMania 42, where he hinted at a possible future rivalry with Cody Rhodes. Since then, reports have indicated that his absence has been tied to creative differences inside WWE.
During a recent appearance at Cage Fury Fighting Championships in Chicago, Punk addressed his hiatus with a humorous reference to wrestling legend Terry Funk, saying, “I don’t travel anymore. My horse is sick.”
Although Punk has yet to return to WWE television, reports indicate that he has been lobbying for a comeback on the July 6 edition of RAW in his hometown of Chicago, IL. As of now, WWE’s official website has not listed him among the many featured Superstars for the event, leaving his status uncertain. Nonetheless, the corporate is continuous to advertise Punk for upcoming episodes of SmackDown leading into SummerSlam 2026.
