Varanasi: SS Rajamouli Confirms 80 Days Of Shoot Remaining For Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu Starrer

SS Rajamouli received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from fans at the long-lasting Grand Rex theatre in Paris. He hosted a special masterclass and showcased a screening of his worldwide hit ‘RRR’. In the course of the event, SS Rajamouli also took the chance to advertise his upcoming film, Varanasi. Photos and videos from the theatre captured fans receiving free tees featuring characters played by Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. They were also treated to exclusive film merchandise, which was placed on their seats before the screening began.

SS Rajamouli Shares Update On Varanasi Shoot

In a video from his Paris visit, the director expressed his gratitude to the audience for his or her support and guaranteed them of his return along with his next major project. He said, “Thanks from the underside of my heart. A filmmaker can’t ask for more. I might definitely be coming back with my next film ‘Varanasi’. They at all times say, a filmmaker is a really greedy person and I’m a really greedy person. I would like more of your love. Thanks very much.”

The ‘Varanasi’ film handle shared the clip with the caption, “Paris…Your love makes us work even harder to bring #Varanasi to you. We promise.” Moreover, Rajamouli provided an update on his next enterprise, revealing that a serious portion of filming is complete, with only smaller scenes remaining. He added, “Only the smaller scenes are left to be shot, with around 80 more days of filming remaining to wrap up the project.”

Rajamouli’s visit to Paris comes after he presented ‘Baahubali: The Everlasting War’ at an event during Annecy 2026. The director was also honoured with a grand recognition on the Cinematheque Francaise in Paris.

About Varanasi

When the sequence was first released, fans speculated that the film might involve elements of time travel. The joy surrounding the project has reached an all-time high following the author’s recent update. Besides Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film also features Priyanka Chopra, marking her comeback to Indian cinema. The film is scheduled to be released in 2027.
