Posting on his YouTube channel, Daniel Cormier ruled out visiting Khabib Nurmagomedov’s native homeland of Dagestan to coach now.
The 47-year-old former UFC dual champion admitted that he crossed paths with MMA icon Khabib when he was in Latest York City last month.
Cormier explained that the 37-year-old Russian former MMA fighter overpowered him in grappling and Khabib has turn out to be much ‘larger’ than his lightweight days.
“Hey, y’all wish to kill me? Y’all want me to go to Dagestan? I ain’t going to Dagestan,” he said.
“I saw those guys last week. They tried to wrestle me on daily basis. Khabib was attempting to kill me the opposite day in Latest York City. He’s so big now.
“He’s at all times been an incredible grappler, but he’s so big now. He was holding [me down]. He held me down for like 10 minutes.
“I used to be like, ‘I can’t breathe — let me out!”

Khabib Nurmagomedov has continued to play an energetic role in MMA, including as a coach and a cornerman, in his post-legendary fighting profession in combat sports.
The ex-UFC lightweight champion, who is taken into account the most effective MMA fighters of all time, retired in 2020 with an undefeated skilled record of 29 wins.
