Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar will collide at WWE SummerSlam 2026 in a Hell in a Cell match, despite this not being the match fans predicted for Femi.
Provided that Femi won the King of the Ring tournament, many assumed that he’d be receiving his prize – a WWE World Title match on the two-night event.
During a recent edition of the “Two Count Tuesday” podcast, Jonathan Coachman said that this ‘swerve’ has made things too complicated. He said,
“You already know what they did? They really made all the things more confusing for themselves because they need so vehemently to go against what the web thinks and knows. We all know all the things before it happens.
“And Triple H is trying so hard to sway us away in a distinct direction. Now he’s f******* himself over and now he’s made all the things more confusing because he wants to maintain it unpredictable.”
Coachman went on to say that he could picture not having Femi in a title match despite his tournament win being a ‘victory’ for those in WWE. He said,
“Boy, , they’re sitting on that jet just laughing. ‘Oh, we got them. We got them. We got them. Oh, wait… we’ve got to work out why he doesn’t go after Roman Reigns.’”
Femi and Lesnar have faced one another twice at pay-per-view events before. Femi won at WrestleMania 42 while Lesnar triumphed at WWE Clash in Italy.
