Kenny Omega is your latest AEW World Champion after defeating MJF through the latest episode of AEW Dynamite to win the gold for a second time.
Omega last held the title from December 2020 to November 2021, before he dropped the title to ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at that yr’s AEW Full Gear.
Taking to Twitter, Omega reflected on the long journey back to the title and was grateful to those fans who never gave up on him winning the gold again.
Omega’s showdown with MJF was a ‘Last Probability’ match, meaning it was Omega’s final opportunity to win the AEW World Championship from the previous champ.
Omega is in third place for many overall days as champion, behind MJF (560 days over three reigns) and Jon Moxley (620 days over 4 reigns).
