Chelsea Green appears to be leaving the recent social media controversy behind her.
After deleting her Twitter account amid criticism surrounding comments about alleged MAGA ties, the previous WWE Women’s United States Champion returned to Instagram with a much different message. Slightly than addressing the backlash directly, Green shared a photograph of herself having fun with a dinner date along with her husband, Matt Cardona, looking completely unfazed by the net drama. She captioned her post with,
“Frolicked with family, ate good food, invited friends over, touched grass & deleted X 💟 Successful week, I’d say!”
On Monday, Green issued the next statement on Twitter:
“I can handle you saying things about my looks or my talent but what you won’t do is spread lies about my political beliefs. Because you’re so all for spreading misinformation, listed here are the facts:
– I’m a Canadian citizen
– I can’t vote in America
– I’m not MAGA
– I’m a liberal / democrat
– Once I change into a citizen, I’ll vote for a president who believes in equal human rights”
