Vijay announced plans to construct a memorial in honour of those that lost their lives. He stated that TVK would construct it in Karur to make sure that future generations remember the incident and to forestall such tragedies from being politicised. “With a view to make the approaching generation aware of the conspiracy and plot against us, in order that nobody even thinks of one other political conspiracy, we announce that a memorial shall be inbuilt Karur on behalf of our TVK,” he said.
