In line with the newest reports, Mayweather is suing a former investment manager for defrauding him of $175 million. In line with an ESPN report, the previous world champion boxer with a 50-0 record filed a lawsuit in a Recent York court alleging fraud and breach of fiduciary duty.
Floyd Mayweather was scheduled to return to the ring this weekend on Saturday, Jun. 27, 2026, in Greece to fight Mike Zambidis, but a lawsuit from promoters CSI has stopped the exhibition fight. CSI argued that Mayweather had signed contracts with them to fight Mike Tyson next and had already taken tens of millions prematurely from them. Amid all of this, Mayweather also finds himself in a tricky financial patch. He’s currently suing multiple former partners, alleging they stole tens of millions of dollars from him and stepping into trouble for non-payment, breach of contract, and writing bad checks.
After the recent Zuffa Boxing 8, White was asked about Mayweather’s reported financial situation. “That’s a tricky one,” White said. “I’ve talked to him about it, but I don’t know enough about it. You hear all of those different stories. I believe you will have to attend to see how this thing’s going to play out in court for him.”
The UFC President further opened up and described how Mayweather’s case is analogous to several such athletes who failed to manage their financial situations. “When any individual works as hard as he did and amasses the form of wealth the form of wealth that he had and so they lose it, or it gets stolen, or regardless of the deal is, it’s horrible,” White explained. “And it happens rather a lot in skilled sports.” Desirous to help him out, White also added, “So who knows? Anything is feasible. Perhaps we could do something and figure it out for him.”
