Keith Lee is believed to have retired from skilled wrestling. The AEW star has been away from the ring for greater than two years, and there may be now doubt that he’ll ever return to the corporate.
Throughout the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez reported that individuals he has spoken with consider Lee could also be finished with wrestling altogether, not only with AEW. Nevertheless, Lee has not publicly announced his retirement, so his status stays unconfirmed.
Lee last wrestled in December 2023, when he defeated Brian Cage on the Holiday Bash edition of AEW Collision. He was then faraway from the AEW Worlds End card later that month.
The Limitless One later revealed that he had been coping with an injury that began in 2022. During his time away, Lee told fans that he was healthy and that the choice on when he would return was not in his hands.
AEW had reportedly discussed bringing Lee back to television several months ago, with early creative ideas considered. Those plans didn’t move forward, and it’s unknown whether Lee was aware of the talks.
For now, there was no official word from Lee or AEW about his future.
