Sheamus isn’t any longer a component of WWE’s roster, and there was growing speculation on whether the previous WWE World Champion will eventually join AEW.
Tony Khan’s promotion will surely have the cash to afford Sheamus, who left WWE after turning down a restructured deal that was value significantly less.
In a recent interview with the “Day by day Star,” Claudio Castagnoli shared his thoughts on whether Sheamus could soon be a component of the AEW locker room. He said,
“I feel that’s not for me to discuss. I feel that’s for him to discuss when he’s ready for it.
“I’ve stayed friends with him throughout. After all, I would really like to see my friends on a more regular basis, after all. But I do feel that’s his to reply when he’s ready for it.”
Not only have Sheamus and Castagnoli remained friends despite being in numerous corporations, but in addition they remain energetic together. He said,
“Me and him have been doing a whole lot of training together, a whole lot of further education in the event you will… and what we eventually would love to do is get our refereeing degree after which develop into the VAR.”
Sheamus and Castagnoli (as Cesaro) teamed for years in WWE. The pair held the WWE, RAW, and SmackDown Tag Team Championships before splitting.
