Aston Martin Built an SUV Exclusively for Modern Warfare 4

Aston Martin’s newest SUV won’t ever touch an actual road, for the reason that Dreadnought is a digital-only military specification vehicle built exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which launches October 23 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Battle.net, Steam, and XBOX on PC. Created in collaboration with Infinity Ward and Activision, players will find the SUV at key points of interest in each DMZ and Warzone when the sport arrives.

The Dreadnought is a tactical all-wheel drive SUV grounded within the Modern Warfare universe’s physics, complete with the roar of a full V12 and features no showroom Aston Martin offers, like military grade armor plating, reserve fuel tanks, and bespoke weapons storage. The luxurious half of the equation continues to be there, though, with a herringbone weave to the outside carbon fiber, an Oxford Tan leather dashboard, a metallic gold gear lever, door hinges in anodized Satin Gold, and the brand’s signature Chiltern Green paint. The name nods to each the dictionary definition of “fear nothing” and HMS Dreadnought, the early 1900s British warship thus far ahead of its time that it named a complete class. Infinity Ward co-studio head Jack O’Hara says the vehicle was engineered from early concepting through animation, geometry, and in-game physics, and calls it “probably the most aggressive all-wheel drive in Modern Warfare 4.”

Aston Martin chief creative officer Marek Reichman said the team designed the Dreadnought as if it were a vehicle living in the true world, navigating the streets of Recent York and the monsoon-soaked roads of Mumbai, so it could feel authentic contained in the game. Director of brand name diversification Stefano Saporetti was more direct concerning the business side, calling the Dreadnought “a strategic gateway for a younger, global audience” to experience the brand. Aston Martin’s own announcement sums up the entire concept best, noting that while the brand’s natural habitat is luxury properties and landscapes, the “Dreadnought simply has a rather more adventurous commute.”

A full-size model of the virtual SUV will make its global debut at Fanatics Fest in Recent York, where attendees can see it in person on the Call of Duty stand. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives Friday, October 23.
