Leading MMA journalists Oscar Willis and Brett Okamoto have each predicted McGregor will rematch Floyd Mayweather under Dana White‘s Zuffa Boxing banner in 2027.
The UFC CEO explained why he’s not desirous about seeing McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather 2 during an interview on Friday.
“Here’s my problem with the Mayweather-McGregor fight,” White told Spinnin Backfist MMA Show.
“To begin with, the primary one, leading into it, I used to be similar to, ‘That is crazy.’
“We’ve seen that fight before. While you talk in regards to the Max [Holloway] fight, Conor won the fight after they first fought. Max won this fight. You’ve got a trilogy there or whatever.
“There was nothing in regards to the Mayweather fight that makes me say, ‘You understand, if we did that again, there is perhaps a unique final result.’”
