The strain between Austin Theory and Otis continued to grow on the July 13 episode of WWE RAW. The rivalry took one other ugly turn after Maxxine Dupri used Otis’ emotions against him during a confrontation involving Alpha Academy and The Vision. Theory also mocked Otis with personal insults before he and Bron Breakker launched a brutal attack on Otis and Akira Tozawa. The segment quickly fueled speculation that WWE may very well be constructing toward a much bigger showdown.
Based on a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may very well be planning something involving Austin Theory and Otis at SummerSlam 2026. While no official match has been announced, the most recent developments on RAW have added weight to that possibility. The storyline has gained momentum over the past two weeks and now appears to be moving toward a serious payoff.
The rivalry began on the July 6 edition of RAW. Maxxine Dupri helped Theory and Breakker defeat Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford to capture the World Tag Team Championships. One week later, she once more became a key figure within the story. Dupri’s actions created a gap for The Vision to overwhelm Alpha Academy.
