Alexa Bliss’ status for WWE SummerSlam 2026 appears to be up within the air, and the most recent backstage update suggests that fans shouldn’t expect to see her in one in all the show’s featured matches.
During a recent WrestleVotes Q&A, JoeyVotes was asked whether Bliss is currently slated to compete within the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match. In response to the report, she will not be a part of WWE’s creative plans for the bout. He said,
“She’s not planned for the match. For whatever reason. I haven’t heard her name included in SummerSlam plans.”
Although no official reason was provided for her absence, TC suggested that Bliss’ lingering elbow injury could possibly be playing a job in WWE’s decision. He said,
“She’s got the elbow. In order that could be a part of why she’s not a part of SummerSlam.”
The update follows last week’s episode of SmackDown, where Bliss was written off television after a vicious assault by Jade Cargill. Following her victory, Cargill trapped Bliss’ arm inside a steel chair before repeatedly smashing it into the mat as Charlotte Flair watched helplessly from ringside.
