AEW President Tony Khan provided an update on Anna Jay through the AEW Redemption 2026 media call, confirming that the previous Jericho Appreciation Society member has signed a contract extension with the corporate but is currently coping with an injury.
Khan explained that he had planned to make use of Jay on recent shows, but those plans were placed on hold after she was sidelined. He said,
“Anna is in excellent standing with us. Anna is out injured at once. I used to be hoping to book her in recent weeks and she or he has an injury. Last week, she was going for an MRI. She is in good standing and has a variety of time left, she’s prolonged her contract with AEW. She goes to be staying in AEW.”
Jay has been out of motion for the reason that June 6 edition of AEW Collision, where she teamed with Tay Melo in a losing effort against Divine Dominion’s Lena Kross and Megan Bayne. Khan didn’t provide a timetable for her return but made it clear that Jay stays a vital a part of AEW’s future following her contract extension.
