The newest episodes of Lock Upp have sparked intense conversations, especially after Ram Kapoor’s heated interactions with contestants and Dheeraj Dhoopar’s firm stand during a tense moment. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Dheeraj’s wife, Vinny Arora Dhoopar, offered her perspective on what unfolded contained in the house. Defending her husband’s actions, she said he was right to precise his opinions as an alternative of remaining silent under pressure. Vinny also addressed the criticism surrounding Ram Kapoor, urging people not to evaluate him solely based on edited television moments and stressing that the web is commonly too quick to form opinions without understanding the entire context. Vinny Arora On Ram Kapoor Getting Offended At Lock Upp Inmates
When asked about Ram Kapoor getting offended at Lock Upp inmates, Vinny Arora said, “Nahi, see, bahut baar aisa hota hai ki bahut saare underlying issues hote hain jo aap relations ke saath sirf isliye avoid karte rehte ho because you’re keen on them. Phir jab kuch ho jaata hai, you find yourself bringing all those things up. So I feel like, theek hai, Ram sir keh rahe the, ‘Mujhe bolne do, mujhe bolne do.’ But unko bolne se aaj tak koi rok paaya hai? Kabhi nahi. In order that was one thing.”
She continued, “But I’m still very happy with Dheeraj. The best way he stood his ground and said, ‘I’m not a property on this set. I can have my very own opinions, and I’ll speak. I is not going to just nod my head if I even have to. I can’t stand here like a statue.’ Aur woh baat bilkul sahi thi. Us episode mein, I feel every part that Dheeraj did was absolutely correct. It’s just that everybody around him was attempting to make him consider that he wasn’t right or that he wasn’t handling things properly. But actually, he was absolutely right. So my only concern was: how do I tell him that he’s doing perfectly fantastic?”
Vinny On Criticism Against Ram Kapoor
Speaking on the criticism against Ram, Vinny said, “Nahi yaar, matlab yeh toh baatein hain. Simply because he’s on a platform like that, logon ko lagta hai ki they will say anything about him. But that’s not right. Simply because he’s on TV, people say, ‘Unhone aisa kiya, yeh kiya, woh kiya, unhone aisa kyun kiya? He’s this sort of person.’ Agar ghar ke andar kisi ko bura lag raha hai, they’re thoroughly able to speaking for themselves and saying, ‘Humein yeh pasand aaya’ ya ‘Yeh pasand nahi aaya.’ Right? Andar toh koi nahi bol raha. Bahar sab bol rahe hain. And that affects an individual.”
Arora concluded, “It’s not right for us to construct a picture of him like that. He could also be an outspoken man. He could also be someone who’s fun-loving and outspoken, but that doesn’t mean he’s a nasty person. Aur I’m sure agar ghar ke andar bhi koi ladki unse keh de, ‘Ram sir, aisi baat mat kijiye,’ ya ‘Please don’t hug me,’ or anything like that, I’m sure he would understand and respect that. But again, the web is just too quick to evaluate. Log bina soche-samjhe apni opinion bana lete hain, without serious about the type of impact it might have on an individual and on every part that person has earned over all these years.”
About Ram’s Behaviour In Lock Upp
During his appearance on Lock Upp Season 2 in July 2026, Ram Kapoor caused significant controversy amongst fellow inmates on account of his provocative behaviour. He sparked outrage by claiming that infidelity in long marriages (20-25 years) can occur “by mistake” and ought to be forgiven, a press release that angered co-contestant Akanksha Chamola, who argued that cheating is a conscious decision. Social media widely criticised Ram, deeming his views toxic and regressive.
Moreover, Ram crossed personal boundaries by repeatedly entering Shreya Kalra’s personal space. He was seen kissing her on the cheeks and brow after tasks. This prompted her to publicly protest and warn that he would face consequences if he continued. Apoorva Makhija also expressed irritation during a challenge when Ram admitted his kissing made Shreya uncomfortable. He was also called out for forcefully hugging and kissing contestant Akanksha Chaudhary under the pretext of offering comfort.
Near his eviction, Harshad Chopda criticised Ram and Dheeraj Dhoopar for allegedly voting him out strategically. He mocked their insecurity and hypocrisy.
