Blaziken is the ultimate evolution of everyone’s favorite Gen 3 chicken, Torchic. This Fire/Fighting Type is a formidable foe, made much more dangerous with its Flying Tera Type. In case you’re struggling, let me show you learn how to beat the 7 star Blaziken Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Learn how to beat the Blaziken Tera Raid

The Flying Tera type gives Blaziken a ton of coverage it wouldn’t often have. This Pokemon also has a move pool that shuts down many traditionally strong raid options. Take note that Tera Raid Pokemon have more moves than usual, so here’s what you’re up against:

Blaziken Moveset

Tera Type: Flying

  • Brave Bird
  • Bulk Up
  • Earthquake
  • Overheat
  • Low Kick
  • Swords Dance
  • Blaze Kick

In case you’re hoping to lean on Annihialape this time around, it simply won’t work. Blaziken will spam Brave Bird, which is able to kill Annihialape in a single hit, even when it’s perfectly trained. Fortunately, we are able to use Bellibolt to take down Blaziken, and it’s so strong that you would be able to even do it solo.

Here’s the Moveset I like to recommend for Bellibolt.

Bellibolt Moveset

Tera Type: Electric
Nature: Modest
Ability: Electromorphosis
Held Item: Magnet

  • Electric Terrain
  • Parabolic Charge
  • Charge
  • Your Preference

You may spam Parabolic Charge for this battle, and the strategy doesn’t get more advanced than that. Parabolic Charge heals each time it hits, and so long as you remember to Terrastalize as early as possible, try to be positive. The Electromorphosis Ability increases the ability of Bellibolt’s next Electric attack each time it gets hit. As you’re using Parabolic Charge repeatedly, you’ll hit hard enough to take Blaziken out before the time runs out.

You should utilize the identical construct I’ve listed above, and I can confirm this works because I beat Blaziken with AI teammates on my 1st attempt. It’s possible you’ll wish to be more vigilant and arrange with Electric Terrain. That said, I managed to beat Blaziken with a suboptimal setup, so there may be some room for error.

Blaziken can start spamming moves like Bulk Up, which might pose a severe problem. From my limited testing, this seems to occur less often if Bellibolt isn’t holding an item. I can’t confirm this 100%, but try it and not using a held item if the strategy isn’t working.

Can I exploit another Pokemon to beat Blaziken?

While I’ve not tested it myself, other Trainers have reported similar results using Miraidon as a substitute of Bellibolt. Once more, Parabolic Charge is the move to go for, and you should utilize Electro Drift if Miraidon is at max HP.
