Just in case you weren’t aware, today marks the launch day for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth—a game I absolutely love and plan to dedicate dozens more hours to in pursuit of a Platinum trophy. Rebirth is the second installment within the Final Fantasy VII remake project, which is able to eventually comprise three games. It reimagines the classic 1997 story, celebrated for its storyline, characters, and cutscenes—elements that were truly remarkable on the time. The classic has sold over 14.4 million copies worldwide, while Final Fantasy VII Remake, launched in 2020, has sold over seven million units since its release.
In my Final Fantasy VII Rebirth review, I discovered the sport to be an exquisite and emotional reimagining of a classic story, weaving a tale in a way only a Final Fantasy game can: with stunning visuals, an unforgettable soundtrack, and just the precise amount of charming cheesiness.
To have fun the launch, head over to Google and search “Final Fantasy VII” for a fun surprise—that’s, in case you can tear yourself away out of your PlayStation controller.
