Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell has shared his thoughts on a possible storyline twist involving The Rock and Cody Rhodes.
The stress between The Final Boss and The American Nightmare has escalated recently, with each wrestlers exchanging heated words.
The Rock even treated fans to “The Rock Concert” on SmackDown, taking shots at Cody and his family.
On social media, the multi-time WWE Champion vowed to defeat Cody together with his belt after which taunt Cody’s mom with the bloodied title.
In response, Cody Rhodes delivered a fiery promo on Monday Night RAW.
Throughout the latest episode of Smack Talk, Mantell suggested that The Rock could add fuel to the hearth by firing Cody Rhodes, using his authority as a member of the TKO Board of Directors.
As Cody’s technically his subordinate, The Brahma Bull holds the facility to terminate the two-time Men’s Royal Rumble winner.
“He’s [The Rock] the Final Boss! Then he turns around to essentially get heat, and he fires Cody simply to p**s everybody off! They’ll all hate him then! ‘Cody get your a*s outta here! ‘I’m bored with taking a look at you!”’
said Mantell.
In recent weeks, The Rock has been vocal about his support for Roman Reigns and his quest for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania XL.
The Final Boss is gearing up for one last appearance on the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW before the highly anticipated Show of Shows.
