LAS VEGAS – Karine Silva isn’t able to make callouts after her UFC on ESPN 55 victory, but she’s getting closer to it.

Silva (18-4 MMA, 4-0 UFC) continued the unbeaten begin to her octagon tenure Saturday with a unanimous decision victory over Ariane da Silva (17-9 MMA, 6-6 UFC) of their women’s flyweight bout on the UFC Apex. It’s the primary time within the Brazilian’s profession she won a fight on the scorecards.

“I actually felt like I followed my game plan, that I did every thing I could to win the fight,” Silva told MMA Junkie and other reporters through an interpreter post-fight at UFC on ESPN 55. “I did every thing we trained for, so I’m very pleased and really excited to observe my fight again and see every thing from the surface looking in.”

Silva revealed a minor toe injury stemming from the bout, but doesn’t think it’s anything that can deter him from getting two more fights on this 12 months.

There’s hope from Silva she will likely be ranked in the highest 10 at women’s flyweight moving forward, and if she will get one other win against ranked competition, she is going to make a callout that’s been kept in her back pocket.

“The one name that’s at all times on my mind, it’s slightly bit unreachable for me straight away,” Silva said. “So I’ll be ready for whoever the UFC has for me next. Possibly next time I’ll have the opportunity to call out the one which I would like.”
