Apple is constant its AI push, this time with its education offering. The corporate announced on Tuesday that it’ll train all Apple Developer Academy students and mentors on the basics of AI. Apple Developer Academy alumni may also participate within the training.
Starting this fall, students will learn how one can construct, train and deploy machine learning models across Apple devices.
“Courses will include the basics of AI technologies and frameworks; Core ML and its ability to deliver fast performance on Apple devices; and guidance on how one can construct and train AI models from the bottom up,” Apple says.
The brand new curriculum might be provided to 1000’s of scholars and alumni across 18 Developer Academies in Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and the USA.
Apple says the introduction of recent technologies and APIs announced at WWDC last week will give students access to more tools to construct apps. Swift Assist, a brand new feature in Xcode 16, serves as a companion for all of a developer’s tasks and can let students experiment with recent ideas. As well as, Apple says Swift 6 introduces recent capabilities to boost code clarity and make concurrent programming easier.
“With the introduction of curriculum dedicated to AI and other recent technologies, we’re excited to see what students will construct to share with their communities and the world,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice chairman of Worldwide Developer Relations, in a press release.
