Conor McGregor was scheduled to make his eagerly anticipated UFC return this past Saturday at UFC 303, but he withdrew from his most important event against Michael Chandler due to a broken toe.
Since his loss to Poirier back in 2021, in what was his last fight contained in the Octagon, the Irishman has constantly hurled abuse at Poirier and his wife online, with Poirier finally retaliating.
‘The Diamond’ went at his former foe, McGregor, tweeting at him: “Hey @TheNotoriousMMA it felt so nice, I did it twice ya bumskie.”

“If Arman can’t fight let’s go again,” Poirier said.
Justin Gaethje can also be admittedly gearing towards the top of his UFC profession following his own devastating loss to Max Holloway at UFC 300 earlier this 12 months. He and Poirier have fought twice already, with them each having won once.
That looks as if an ideal fight for them each at this stage of their careers, and can be one fans can be salivating over, again.
Colby Covington is another person Poirier has a historic feud with, which has unfortunately never been capable of be settled within the cage. Although ‘Chaos’ has recently called out Charles Oliveira for a giant welterweight fight, he has previously called out Poirier.
Poirier wouldn’t need to undergo one other grueling weight cut and will have his ‘Last Dance’ at welterweight against his former American Top Team teammate.
Whoever ‘The Diamond’ fights, it likely won’t be till the top of the 12 months, as after his UFC 302 loss, Poirier revealed that he broke his nose, and ribs and partially tore his ACL.
