George Gascón, the Los Angeles County District Attorney, has shared his decision on whether the Menendez brothers, Erik and Lyle Menendez, might be resentenced for the 1989 murder of their parents.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney, George Gascón, Shares Decision On The Menendez Brothers’ Resentencing
In line with NBC News, Gascón revealed his decision during a press conference on Thursday, October 24. Moreover, the district attorney shared that he has decided to greenlight Erik and Lyle Menendez’s resentencing.
Gascón shared that he might be filing his suggestion on Friday. Moreover, the district attorney shared that he believes Erik and Lyle Menendez must be resentenced under the charge of murder. Moreover, Gascón noted that the ruling of “life without the opportunity of parole” be faraway from their case.
“There are people within the office that strongly imagine that the Menendez brothers should stay in prison the remaining of their life, and so they don’t imagine that they were molested,” he explained. “And there are people within the office that strongly imagine that they must be released immediately and that they were, in reality, molested. I imagine that they’ve paid their debt to society.”
