Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi stole the highlight with a blistering 67-ball 93 as Bihar’s Ranji Trophy Plate Group clash against Meghalaya resulted in a draw on Tuesday.

The young left-hander, already turning heads together with his fearless stroke play, hammered nine fours and 4 sixes, scoring the majority of Bihar’s 156 for 4 in reply to Meghalaya’s 408 for 7 declared.

After losing opener Arnav Kishor early, Suryavanshi steadied the innings with a 92-run stand alongside Mangal Mahrour (25), followed by one other 41-run partnership with Bipin Saurabh (15).

Adding to his stellar day, the teenage prodigy, who has already toured Australia and England in recent months, received a call-up to India A for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup, to be held in Qatar from November 14 to 23.

The tournament will likely be played on the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha, with Jitesh Sharma leading the squad and Naman Dhir named as vice-captain.
