UFC star Conor McGregor can now put his full focus back on a return to the Octagon after the conclusion of Artem Lobov’s lawsuit.
The previous lightweight and featherweight champion has been inactive since 2021, when McGregor broke his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
He’s had his eyes on ventures away from the cage but is planning to alter that this 12 months, targeting a long-awaited UFC comeback in the summertime.
And with regards to dialing in on one other fight, the Irishman has eliminated one distraction.

Conor McGregor settles with Artem Lobov after being sued over Proper No. 12
Former UFC fighter Artem Lobov rose to fame as a teammate of McGregor’s during his journey to multi-weight success within the promotion. Their relationship is much from what it once was, and the pair have even been battling each other on the legal front lately.
Lobov and McGregor’s feud went public when ‘The Russian Hammer’ sued ‘The Notorious’, claiming a stake in his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.
Lobov took credit for McGregor’s brand, insisting he got here up with the concept and provided key ideas and research on the matter. The Russian admitted he had turned down McGregor’s $1 million offer after the corporate’s success, alleging that he’d been promised five percent “irrespective of what” by his ex-teammate.
Lobov sued for that share, which might have amounted to $6.5 million of the $130 million reportedly taken home by the UFC star when McGregor sold Proper No. Twelve for $600 million.
The case was as a result of start on Wednesday within the High Court and was scheduled to last eight days. Nonetheless, Lobov’s attorney Andrew Walker told the judge that a settlement had been reached and a trial was not required.
“I need to thank him for his exertions for my whiskey business,” McGregor said in a press release after the settlement (h/t Irish Independent).
The Russian opted to not issue a press release after the settlement, details of which weren’t disclosed.

McGregor’s attorney Mark Lyman read his statement to the court, which included a comment about how the ex-UFC champ is now looking forward to specializing in his training for “this summer’s fight.”
His UFC return shouldn’t be yet confirmed but is reportedly slated to headline International Fight Week in July, with Max Holloway the frontrunner to welcome him back to motion.
