In response to the report released Wednesday, Celeste Rivas Hernandez died from “multiple penetrating injuries brought on by object(s),” with the way of death officially ruled a homicide. The Medical Examiner noted two penetrating wounds to her torso, including one in her right abdomen that injured her liver and one other in her left chest. Two of her fingers were reportedly missing. The report also indicated presumptive positives for benzodiazepines and methamphetamine/MDMA in her system.

All we would like is justice for Celeste.”
