During a recent appearance on the “Unlikely” podcast, Tiffany Stratton reacted to Brock Lesnar’s possible WWE retirement.
The previous Women’s Champion said she almost cried watching Lesnar unlace his boots at WrestleMania 42 and hopes that he wrestles again, ideally at SummerSlam in Minnesota, so he can retire in his home state.
Stratton also praised the NXT women’s roster, naming Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Kelani Jordan as her top three picks for future matches, and said working with Trish Stratus felt like a dream she hopes to run back sooner or later.
You possibly can take a look at some highlights from the podcast below:
On her top three women’s stars in NXT: “That’s a great query. I feel like each girl in NXT is absolutely freaking good. I believe you possibly can call up anybody and I’ll have a great match with them. I might like to have a match with Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Kelani Jordan. I believe those are my top three in NXT right away.”
On her match with Trish Stratus and wanting a round two: “Oh, it was just – I feel like that whole day was just so amazing. I feel prefer it was like a dream. I’m really happy with that match with me and Trish. I assumed we had such a great match together. We had amazing chemistry, and Trish, I really like her. I really like her a lot. I wish we could have a round two. But never say never. Perhaps she’ll come back out of retirement for me.”
On her butterfly attire on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown: “I’ve been really just attempting to nail down a signature look. Um, and I did the butterfly top back for Money within the Bank in 2024, I consider. So, I sort of just desired to work out, like I said, a signature thing. And the butterfly, I feel like no one was doing that or no one is absolutely doing the butterfly top. And the past couple of months, butterfly just sort of been popping off. So, but I’m going to maintain it my signature thing.”
On Brock Lesnar’s retirement: “I don’t know. After I saw Brock on unlace his boots, I almost shed a tear. I used to be sad for him. He looked like he began crying a little bit bit too. He’s only a boy. It’s his first time living too. So hopefully it’s not his last match. Hopefully in SummerSlam in Minnesota we’ll get to see him. I believe that may be iconic, retiring in your hometown. But yeah, I’m really sad but completely satisfied for him.”
During a recent appearance on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, Raquel Rodriguez noted that The Judgment Day is now a “women’s club” after Finn Balor’s exit and that Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh don’t mind the brand new dynamic in any respect.
You possibly can take a look at some highlights from the interview below:
On the brand new dynamic of The Judgment Day: “I even have made that very clear to the boys. Truthfully, after we kicked Finn Balor out, I used to be like, woah! It’s a women’s club now, and, you realize, I don’t think they mind. I don’t think Dominik and JD mind, no. It’s a powerful women’s club with Dominik and JD, you realize?”
On her sisterhood with Liv Morgan: “Yeah, you realize, it’s funny because in the beginning it was not together in any respect. You realize, I met her once after I first began on the PC. Um, we were in opposite classes, so we had opposite schedules while we were each there. So, we actually didn’t like run in the identical crowds aside from if we were at like a Coconut Loop or working together or whatever it could be. And we do have some pictures, actually, from like my first match in NXT along with her, and we’re tagging, I believe. Um, but what a crazy [laughter] we’re tagging. We’re tagging. So, it didn’t occur as fast in the beginning, but then after I got called as much as the principal roster, and so they sort of threw us together as a tag team, I believe we each realize that we do have rather a lot in common. Um, we have now the identical mindset with regards to wrestling, with regards to preparing, and that just sort of like bonded us really, really quickly. I believe we each just really wanted what was best, not just for one another, but for ourselves, and that made us have the opportunity to work together rather well and elevate and turn into as close as we’ve turn into. We’re literally sisters.”
On taking Roxanne Perez under her wing: “Oh my gosh. You realize, I hold a little bit resentment against Liv for this reason, because when Roxanne first got introduced into the judgment day, which I’ve known Roxanne for a very long time, too. We have now history as well. Liv was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s like they’re giving us this baby and we have now to boost this baby on the principal roster, and we have now to love show her how you can live and to be a grown-up.” After which she gets hurt, and he or she leaves me like a single mother. I used to be like, ‘Oh [laughter] my god, I got to do that alone.’ You So, there was an immense amount of pressure, not only on me to love keep elevating myself getting back from injury and and showing them that I can compete and I generally is a a part of this women’s roster and be a threat uh for this women’s roster, but I also desired to be there for Roxanne and to assist guide her and since I understand how difficult it might be coming to the principal roster for the primary time and being so young. Um, I can only imagine what it’s been like for her. But, it’s I mean, it’s brought us all closer together. It’s made us really, really strong. I believe it makes what we do together on and off the screen so natural. and it’s just it’s it’s memories that I really like to live with each of them.”
During a recent appearance on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, Alba Fyre called Piper Niven her “wrestling soulmate.”
Fyre explained that they’ve wrestled and teamed together in SHIMMER, STARDOM, ICW, and WWE, and he or she prefers having Niven by her side relatively than across the ring. She said,
“It’s Piper. It’s Piper, whether it’s tagging, whether it’s against one another, and like, I hate selecting because (there’s so many talented women), but when… every area except from WWE principal roster, we have now few dates. So whether it was Shimmer, whether it was STARDOM, ICW, like we’ve… we have now wrestled in all places. Except from the principal roster of WWE, so. We’re together, and that’s far more fun when she’s not beating me up.”
Niven is currently out injured with no return date set.
