Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered an excellent bowling performance, defeating Delhi Capitals by nine wickets at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday. In Match 39, RCB’s fast bowlers, led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, bowled exceptionally well within the opening overs, surprising everyone and silencing the house crowd.
Delhi Capitals were bowled out for just 75 runs, making it some of the one-sided victories of the 2026 season. The match began with RCB captain Rajat Patidar winning the toss and selecting to bowl first. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a wicket on his second ball, dismissing debutant Sahil Parakh for zero runs with a well-executed yorker.

Capitals Collapse Early as Bhuvneshwar’s Blitz Leaves Delhi Reeling at 8/6
The Capitals found themselves in an unprecedented crisis, reeling at 8/6 inside the first 4 overs as Bhuvneshwar also removed Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel in quick succession. A brief fight from the lower-order batters helped Delhi avoid the shame of the bottom IPL rating ever, however the damage was already done.
