Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s father has shut down rumours linking the forward with Arsenal, insisting his son ‘doesn’t concentrate to such reports’ and stays fully committed to PSG.
PSG signed Kvaratskhelia from Napoli for a fee of £59million back in January 2025, a deal that saw the 25-year-old grow to be far and away the costliest Georgian footballer in history.
In that point, Kvaratskhelia has further established himself as one of the vital exciting attacking talents in European football, racking up 24 goals and 17 assists in 74 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants.
Over the course of a unprecedented debut season within the French capital, Kvaratskhelia helped PSG finally end their wait for the Champions League title, netting 3 times across the club’s triumphant campaign.
In total, Kvaratskhelia has lifted six pieces of silverware since arriving in Paris – and he looks heading in the right direction so as to add to that collection over the approaching weeks, with Luis Enrique’s men sitting top of the league and battling it out within the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The Independent claimed last month that Arsenal had been ‘investigating’ a possible deal for Kvaratskhelia, identifying the winger as a player capable of bring ‘individual creativity’ to Mikel Arteta’s attacking options.
While PSG were said to view Kvaratskhelia as a ‘near-unsellable’ asset, the player’s inner circle were reportedly ‘open to the thought’ of a move to north London.

Nevertheless, in a wide-ranging interview with Georgian outlet Kviris Palitra published on Monday, Kvaratskhelia’s father Badri poured cold water on speculation of a possible move to the Emirates.
‘Yes, there are sometimes reports concerning the interest of Arsenal or other English clubs, but my son doesn’t concentrate to such reports,’ he said.
‘He’s an excellent player on probably the greatest teams in Europe. They appreciate him, love him, play for him, and why should he take into consideration changing clubs?
‘Khvicha thinks only concerning the interests of the team, methods to help the club and methods to make his homeland famous.’

Given his son’s current standing at PSG, the reigning European champions, Badri Kvaratskhelia sees no reason why the previous Napoli man would even be considering his future.
‘Khvicha plays for a really strong and successful club, where he’s loved and trusted,’ he added.
‘He’s considered one of the leading players within the club, who’re the holders of the Champions League and are semi-finalists on this yr’s tournament. Why should he take into consideration leaving someplace else?’

He continued: ‘If PSG now not has the will to proceed the cooperation, we can even take into consideration leaving.
‘But at this stage, this topic isn’t even being discussed.
‘Despite the incontrovertible fact that he has to compete with the leading players of the French national team, with rare exceptions, Khvicha is an unchanged member of the first-team squad and PSG’s management also emphasis that he a useful player for the team.’

Talking to Le Parisien last month, Kvaratskhelia Jr made it clear that he remained joyful with life across the Channel.
‘For me, Paris is really extraordinary,’ he told the French newspaper.
‘You’ve the whole lot here, and above all, that is town of affection. When PSG contacted me, I assumed my wife was the happiest person on this planet.
‘Before PSG contacted me, she all the time said, “Imagine if at some point we play for PSG, it could be amazing to remain there.”
‘In my mind, I believe it’s very difficult to go there when there are great players like [Lionel] Messi, Neymar and [Kylian] Mbappe. I like the whole lot about Paris.
‘The more I give it some thought, the more I appreciate how respectful the persons are there.’
Kvaratskhelia’s current contract on the Parc des Princes runs through to June 2029.
