Jim Ross Shares Status For AEW Double Or Nothing 2026

Jim Ross hopes to be an element of AEW Double or Nothing 2026 and definitely plans to be within the vicinity should Tony Khan call on the commentator to work.

In recent times, Ross’ health issues have resulted in him missing several key AEW events, though he plans on being at Double or Nothing.

On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross shared he plans to make the trip over Memorial Day weekend to Queens, Recent York, regardless of what. He said,

“I need to work. That’s the difference between me and a variety of people. I need to work. I gotta get regular walking and I’m not going to walk out to the ring with a walker or a cane. I’m just too rattling ego-centric.”

Just one match has been confirmed for Double or Nothing, as Kazuchika Okada will defend the AEW International Title against Konosuke Takeshita.

Ross is worked up for the match between the 2, which he believes may very well be a straightforward show-stealer when it happens on May 24. He said,

“There’s no reason it shouldn’t be a classic… Golly, man, those two guys. There’s a history behind [them], growing up as wrestling fans and being aware of the opposite guy once they were of their developmental stage, is compelling to me.”

Ross’ health issues include battles with skin cancer in addition to a fall he suffered earlier this 12 months that temporarily took him out of commission.
