This victory was particularly significant because it ended the unbeaten streak of the Punjab Kings within the IPL 2026 season. Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and elected to field first, a call that originally seemed dangerous given the batting-friendly conditions of the Recent Chandigarh track.
