Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff could have some lineup decisions to make on the eve of Game 6 against the Boston Bruins. Logan Stanley, certainly one of the team’s prized trade deadline additions, is battling an illness that might take him out of the sport, opening the door for Latest Hampshire native Michael Kesselring to enter the Sabres’ lineup.
Kesselring was going to be a very important piece of Buffalo’s defense corps initially of the season, but things have not been going as easily because the team thought. For those who ask the Sabres’ front office, Kesselring might’ve been the important thing piece within the JJ Peterka trade return, but luckily for them, Josh Doan has been a stud for Buffalo to avoid wasting that trade. Nevertheless, Kesselring could have his probability to make an impact, based on NHL.com’s Justin Alpert.
“It type of is determined by how [Stanley’s] feeling, but I mean, Game 6 in my hometown, I could not be more excited if I get the chance,” said Kesselring. “… I have been watching close, so I will be able to go if I do get to play.”
Kesselring didn’t just grow up as a youth hockey player within the Latest England area. He also played his college hockey at Northeastern, making his way into the lineup for Game 6, the type of story that may grow to be an epic moment within the Stanley Cup Playoffs. If Kesselring does get within the lineup, do not be surprised if he has a huge impact for the Sabres as they try and win their first playoff series since 2007.
