Returns To Met Gala & The Biggest 2026 Moments

Y’all can have come for the style and the looks, but Joshua Henry clearly got here to remind everyone this was also a stage. For the second 12 months in a row, the Met Gala paused its red carpet arrivals for a surprise gospel-style moment, as Henry—currently within the revival of ‘Ragtime’—took over the museum steps with a gospel-infused rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Someone.’ Wearing a bright-red suit with silver detailing, he turned the doorway into an impromptu performance space while dancers in black suits backed him up, including one in an oversized cummerbund with a floral knot, ensuring the vocals, not only the outfits, had their moment.
