Anthony Joshua’s boxing profession seemed to be in limbo following the deadly accident in Nigeria.
In recent months, the 36-year-old has been training with the intent of returning to the ring.
On Monday, it was announced that Joshua will face Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25.
Prenga boasts a 20-1 record and has scored knockouts in each one among his boxing wins.
The 6ft 5in Albanian’s resume doesn’t include anyone remotely near Joshua’s level.
Prenga is viewed as a comparatively straightforward warm-up fight ahead of something much greater.
Joshua has ‘signed’ to face Tyson Fury in an all-British blockbuster on Netflix within the fourth quarter of 2026.

Many boxing fans imagine ‘AJ’ should’ve picked a greater opponent or jumped straight in with Tyson Fury.
