Thierry Henry says Arsenal are ‘not at the extent’ of PSG but continues to be desperate for Mikel Arteta’s side to win the Champions League final.

Premier League leaders Arsenal will face French champions PSG within the European final in Budapest on May 30.

The Gunners, who’re closing in on their first Premier League title since 2004, beat Atletico Madrid to achieve their first Champions League final in 20 years.

PSG, meanwhile, continued their impressive Champions League title defence with a formidable semi-final victory over Bayern Munich.

Luis Enrique’s side have quickly been installed because the favourites to lift the Champions League trophy and Henry admits it is going to be ‘very difficult’ for Arsenal to return out on top.

Asked who he hoped to face in the ultimate after PSG’s win over Bayern, Henry said on CBS Sports: ‘We’re not in a position to pick and select.

‘We’re not at the extent of those guys yet so that you should be humble with it. I’m so completely satisfied we’re in the ultimate, let’s see what we will do against this team because that’s an impressive team.

‘Stay in your lane, we’re not here to pick and select, let’s just hope we can beat PSG, nevertheless it’s going to be very difficult.’

The Gunners legend added: ‘I woke up with a smile this morning because it’s been 20 years since we got to the ultimate.

‘To be in a position to compete for the Premier League, it’s been 22 years since we won it that as well.

‘We still haven’t lost in Europe and we’re not conceding many goals, that has to count for something. PSG though may have the experience of winning it they usually won’t have any fear.

‘Hopefully we go there and be brave but we should beat the defending champions so it won’t be easy, we all know that.

‘I’m normally not too nervous but I believe I shall be nervous for that final because they might do something I couldn’t do myself.

‘You wish your team to win and experience that. Hopefully it’s going to occur but take a look at how PSG played tonight, they will kill you in each ways, by scoring more goals than you and by neutralising you.

‘The best team on the night and within the tie won they usually went about it another way against Bayern.

‘They’ve all the pieces they need but Arsenal have been resilient and after we do create we rating goals. It’ll be difficult but let’s see.’

While they could be underdogs, Arsenal ‘have a likelihood’ to beat PSG and develop into European champions, in line with Owen Hargreaves.

‘Arsenal have a likelihood, without query,’ he said on TNT Sports. ‘With that defence that they’ve, the goalkeeper, they’re sensible.

‘Declan Rice has played as a defensive midfield player and he’s sensible in there. That shall be fascinating.

‘PSG shall be more attacking than they were against Bayern but that is a distinct Arsenal now.

‘I believe the last three or 4 weeks they went through that little blip. They imagine now. They’ve a likelihood. They only should imagine.’
