Finn Allen smashed a shocking unbeaten hundred as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by eight wickets of their IPL 2026 clash on Friday. Batting first, DC were restricted to 142/8 in 20 overs, with Kartik Tyagi and Anukul Roy scalping two wickets each.

KKR then reached the goal in only 14.2 overs with eight wickets in hand as well. The win marked KKR’s fourth consecutive win after a run of 5 straight losses earlier as well. After the match, Cameron Green shared how he helped Allen reach the feat and helped KKR win.

“Nothing really. I feel, Finn, all he said was, ‘See you next over.’ So, yeah, that’s principally what I attempted to do. I used to be just at the opposite end playing second fiddle. I feel I did the match after we had 29 to get. So yeah, I knew I’d be essentially the most hated man in Kolkata if I did anything other than that (giving the one to Allen),” Green said on Jiohotstar.

“I don’t think the assumption was ever gone” – Cameron Green

“No, not us. I used to be, I did the mathematics. But no, Finn’s excellent at maths as well, so I’ll give him credit for that. So, probably, he was probably doing the identical. Winning, that’s been essentially the most satisfying,” he further added.

Nonetheless, KKR’s revival has reignited the hope inside the KKR camp after staying near the underside of the points table for much of the season as well.

“I don’t think the assumption was ever gone,” Cameron Green concluded. “We’ve had a very good culture throughout the tournament, even when results weren’t going our way.”
