Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford says winning the La Liga title was the ‘perfect ending’ to his spell at Barcelona.

Rashford scored a superb free-kick as Barca beat Real Madrid 2-0 on Sunday and clinched their twenty ninth La Liga title with three games to spare.

England international Rashford put Barcelona ahead inside ten minutes before Ferran Torres added a second as Hansi Flick’s side cruised to a cushty El Clasico win on the Nou Camp.

After retaining the La Liga trophy, Barcelona at the moment are seven league titles behind record winners Real Madrid.

Speaking after the sport, Rashford admitted he wanted to increase his stay at Barcelona but suggested that was removed from certain.

‘That is the proper way I would like it to finish,’ Rashford told ESPN. ‘I’m very blissful, I just need to enjoy today.

‘I live within the moment. At the top of the season we are going to see. I got here here to win and we do this, so I’m very blissful. It’s an incredible feeling.

‘The sensation is amazing. It’s been an extended season with ups and downs, but I feel we deserved to win [La Liga].’

Asked within the mixed zone whether he would still be a Barcelona player come the beginning of next season, Rashford added: ‘I don’t know.

‘I’m not a magician, but when I was, I’d stay. We are going to see. I got here here to win. I would like to win as many things as I can.

‘That is one more so as to add to this. This is a superb team, they’re going to win a lot in the long run; to be an element of that will be special.’

Rashford joined Barcelona on loan last summer after spending the second-half of last season at Aston Villa.

The 28-year-old remodeled 400 appearances for boyhood club Manchester United but slipped down the pecking order under former boss Ruben Amorim.

It has been suggested that Michael Carrick will attempt to bring Rashford back to Old Trafford should he get the United job on a everlasting basis at the top of the season.

But Rashford has repeatedly made it clear he desires to sign a everlasting transfer with Barcelona and head coach Hansi Flick would welcome that final result.

‘I’m very blissful with Marcus,’ Flick said after Barca’s title win. ‘He has shown his quality and he scored a crucial goal.

‘I can’t say anything about his future, we have now to give attention to the matches until the top of the season.’
