CM Punk put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the road at WrestleMania 42 (Night Two) against Roman Reigns. After a hard-fought battle, it was Reigns who dethroned Punk to change into the brand new titleholder. The Second City Saint did show up on RAW after WrestleMania 42 and cut a heartfelt promo in front of the group. Cody Rhodes confronted Punk, and a feud was teased between the 2 on the flagship show.
Fans are actually wondering what’s next for CM Punk. In response to a report from Pwinsider, The Voice of the Voiceless was not backstage at WWE Backlash 2026. Moreover, Punk shouldn’t be expected to be at tonight’s RAW, either.
WWE Hall Of Famer Defends Punk’s Fan Altercation
During a recent episode of the “Something To Wrestle” podcast, JBL offered his opinion on Punk’s altercation with a fan on the WrestleMania 42 hotel. The WWE Hall of Famer said,
“I don’t blame him. That’s his wife, and I don’t blame him one in any respect. He’s caring for his wife. He’s protecting her, and I believe I might have done probably the identical thing, right or incorrect. I don’t know if it’s right or incorrect, I don’t know what the laws are regarding it.”
“I don’t think it was an invasion of privacy, and if any person asked him to not do it, he must have stopped. And getting the phone slapped out of your hand, that’s not an enormous deal. So what, , hey, you will have a story the remainder of your life to inform about it. But I don’t think it’s an enormous deal, and I don’t blame CM Punk for doing that.”
“I had none. There have been quite a lot of fans. I stayed on the Horseshoe hotel, and so they were unbelievable. The fans were very, very nice. Possibly I’m just not famous enough. Possibly no one gives a s*** about me. I had quite a lot of people tell me Bradshaw 316, and I appreciate all you guys for telling me that.”
“A fan should know higher than filming any person in the lavatory. I mean, come on, that’s just basic human knowledge. It’s not something that you need to need to have security for.”
