Considered one of The Rock’s biggest rivals in the course of the peak of his WWE profession was undoubtedly Stone Cold Steve Austin. In keeping with Jacob Fatu, he once met each veterans backstage a long time before he would someday be signed by WWE.
“As a child, [I saw Austin] leaning over the table, just talking smack,” he recalled. “I remember The Rock – Nation of Domination – I’m backstage, he identical to fresh out the shower … I asked him for like a few autographs!”
Fatu claimed he asked The Rock for 3 different autographs, and while he ended up getting annoyed, “The People’s Champ” just gave him a “People’s Eyebrow” and continued to sign away.
“Man, shout out to The Rock! He actually signed all of them, and man, he was the primary person who gave me 100 dollars,” Fatu further stated, clarifying that he was only a kid a the time, and since The Rock was closing in on his Corporation Rock years, he thought the veteran had lots of money to offer away.
“I believe I asked him for a dollar,” he said. “‘Rock? You bought a dollar?’ Man, he pulled out 100, gave me and my brother 100 dollars!”
When asked if he’s seen The Rock these days, Fatu shared a temporary recent memory with him.
“I seen him at Netflix, you already know what I mean? Just gave him a hug, man,” he recalled. “One thing I learned about The Rock, he knows everybody’s name, it’s just love, you already know, he is not scared to discuss our culture.”
Fatu also added that he saw The Rock backstage at WrestleMania XL, and he was just completely satisfied to see “The Final Boss” in person.
