TKO Group Holdings is constant to organize for WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia, though rising tensions involving Iran have reportedly put the corporate in a cautious holding pattern ahead of a busy international schedule.
With Night of Champions 2026 set for June, WWE officials are closely monitoring developments before the corporate heads to Riyadh.
Company executives recently addressed the situation publicly while discussing how ongoing geopolitical concerns could potentially affect future events. At this point, nonetheless, the show remains to be expected to maneuver forward as planned.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “Power Players With Brian Sozzi” podcast, TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro explained that WWE currently has just one major event approaching within the region and emphasized that the corporate is keeping an in depth eye on the situation. He said,
“We’re not like F1, we don’t have a variety of events right now without delay that might be impacted. Now we have an event at the tip of June, our next event … as you’d expect, we’re going to watch the situation. If we now have to make a move or to have a schedule change, we are going to do the proper thing by our audience and, more importantly, by global affairs.”
Reports indicate that WWE leadership, including company president Nick Khan, stays in communication with internal security and government affairs teams regarding travel safety and conditions within the region. WWE is reportedly expected to proceed with its Saudi Arabia events so long as the U.S. State Department continues to deem travel protected for Americans.
WWE’s next Saudi Arabia pay-per-view event, Night of Champions, is scheduled for June 27, 2026, at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. The show is a component of WWE’s ongoing partnership within the region, which also includes plans for WrestleMania 43 to happen in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
