MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) is slated to be in motion on the upcoming AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on May 24, 2026. He shall be facing Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship in a Title vs. Hair match stipulation.
Recently, Friedman accused young wrestlers of using the social media formula that he created. Nevertheless, this claim by the previous AEW World Champion didn’t sit well with BJ Ray.
In a recent Twitter post, Ray slammed MJF for his social media remark. The previous WWE LFG talent wrote,
“Bro wasn’t doing anything. I actually layed the bottom for social media in pro-wrestling. Matter of fact the top creative author talked to his highest television talent after I used to be 6 months in and told them to repeat the BJ Ray formula AND THATS A FACT.”
MJF On WWE Hall Of Famer
During a recent appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” MJF offered his thoughts on WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart. The present AEW star said,
“I don’t have a beef with Bret Hart. I cut an incredible promo on Bret Hart within the very first Double or Nothing, which—full circle—Double or Nothing’s happening this Sunday, May twenty fourth. See how f*cking good I’m? I’ve got no beef. I just think, look man, this dude got rocked by Goldberg to the purpose where he needed to retire. He’s saying crazy s*** on a regular basis and 99% of the time it doesn’t make sense.”
“I just think homie’s punch drunk and like, God bless him. He must be. He’s one in all the best wrestlers of all time. He’s no Shawn Michaels, but he’s one in all the best wrestlers of all time. I even have no reason to pretend Shawn Michaels isn’t higher than Bret Hart because he’s just like the WWE NXT guy. But I’m just not going to sit down here and try this. He was the higher talker, he was more athletic within the ring. Was the higher wrestler. He was more exciting. He drew you in additional.”
“Bret was good at a time period where he was in a position to get away with being this incredible work-rate guy. His promos were good, but they weren’t f****** like “WHOA!” Did you ever go to highschool and go, ‘Did you hear that Bret Hart promo?’”
