[WATCH] Virat Kohli Refuses To Shake Hands With Travis Head; Video Goes Viral

Virat Kohli was once more on the focus through the intense clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday night. Chasing an enormous goal of 256, Kohli looked under pressure and visibly frustrated during his short time on the crease. Even after the match ended, the emotions appeared to proceed as he appeared to avoid a usual handshake with Travis Headthrough the post-match greetings.

When the RCB players went to congratulate the SRH team after the loss, Head stretched out his hand towards Kohli. Nonetheless, Kohli walked past him and continued greeting the opposite SRH players without responding to the Australian opener. The incident quickly went viral on social media.

Virat Kohli & Travis Head In Fiery On-Field Exchange During SRH Clash

Earlier within the match, the stress was already visible when Venkatesh Iyer began attacking the SRH bowlers, especially during an aggressive over against Shivang Kumar. A viral video from the third over showed Virat Kohli turning towards Travis Head between deliveries and having a vigorous exchange on the sphere.

Kohli was seen pointing at Head and jokingly asking him to come back and bowl, while also making the Impact Player gesture to tease him. Head, who has mostly played as an Impact Player this season and hasn’t spent much time on the sphere usually, stayed involved within the match after Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced Salil Arora with Harshal Patel, adding much more excitement to the already intense game.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli couldn’t stay long on the crease and was dismissed for just 15 runs within the last over of the powerplay by Sakib Hussain. The RCB batter was fooled by a slower ball while attempting to play an enormous shot straight down the bottom, but he did not connect it properly.

The mistimed shot went on to Smaran Ravichandran contained in the circle, who took a simple catch to finish Kohli’s short innings in disappointing fashion. Later within the match, Travis Head was also brought in to bowl the second-last over when the sport was almost in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s control. He managed to choose up the wicket of Rajat Patidar as well.
