Former WWE Superstar Curtis Axel is coping with several legal charges after being arrested at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Minnesota.
Axel, real name Joseph Hennig, was arrested in Anoka County on May 17 on charges of driving while impaired (refusing to undergo chemical testing).
He also didn’t stop for an accident, in keeping with an arrest warrant obtained by The Watch MN. The fees include obstructing the local process and disorderly conduct.
Axel reportedly refused to exit the vehicle when instructed and needed to be physically removed. He also swore at a female driver.
When placed within the police vehicle, Axel said “I don’t give a s***” and “f*** you!” when asked to take an alcohol breath test.
Axel is a third-generation wrestler. He’s the grandson of Larry ‘The Ax’ Hennig and the son of the late Curt Hennig, known in WWE as Mr. Perfect.
In WWE, Axel is an Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion. After he was released in 2020, he briefly returned in 2022 as a part-time producer.
