He was smart with the entire thing and I just ran with it. It really works right?”

Truth On His WWE Release In 2025

Throughout the podcast, Truth also discussed his release in 2025. He said,

“There’s no words within the dictionary to specific how I felt. My son was behind me once I got the decision. And once I did the tweet… I couldn’t be salty, I’m not mad. We said at the highest of this thing, ‘Truth you’ve been here for some time, you’ve experienced lots.’ Like, yes. The ride. I’m interested by the ride. My dad would at all times say ‘Benefit from the ride son.’ The ride was phenomenal. It was great. And I owe the due to WWE, I owe due to the fans. I owe due to the universe. I owe due to everybody that enjoyed this ride. And when that tweet went out, that was all it was meant to be. And it (was) just…Essentially the most moving thing that ever happened in my life.”

“My son, he’s 25 and once I lived in Tennessee, that’s who was with me. That’s who I needed to maintain. Once I gave up (on wrestling) that’s who I believed (of). I kept going for him. I’m a single father, before I met my wife. And for him to say ‘Dad, it was value it.’ I just broke down. That was deep to me. I’ve missed anniversaries, I’ve missed your school graduation, there’s so many things, occasions, funerals, so many things that I’ve missed in life.”

“That I never did get to perform… It was just for this reason wrestling business, and I did it, I did one of the best I could. But my son said, ‘Dad, it was value it.’ It brought tears to my eyes. And to see the fans, to listen to them, I’m watching and I’m hearing ‘We would like Truth.’ Y’all don’t understand how that felt. That’s lightning in a bottle. It never happens.”
