Off Campus star Mika Abdalla found love off screen along with her fiancé, Jake Short before they ended their engagement in 2026.
Abdalla, who portrays Allie Hayes within the hit Off Campus series, met Short in 2021. 4 years later, the pair’s engagement was confirmed by Short’s manager, Brian Medavoy.
“An awesome day yesterday celebrating the following chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiance Mika Abdalla. From set to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to endlessly,” Medavoy captioned the Instagram post in 2025, alongside a photograph of the couple.
A spokesperson for Abdalla subsequently confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly in June 2026 that the actress recently split from Short.

Jake Short Is an Actor
Short has starred in a series of shows, including A.N.T Farm, Mighty Med and Lab Rats: Elite Force.
“I got into acting 4 years ago,” Short recalled in a 2011 interview. “I began in Indiana where I’m from. I principally developed from there. I got here out here, got a manager and agent and that’s principally my story in how I got involved in acting.”

Short took home the Kids Selection Award Winner for Favorite TV Actor in 2012 for his role in A.N.T Farm as Fletcher Quimby. He was also nominated in 2014 for a similar award but lost to Ross Lynch.

Short shared in March 2026 that he directed his first short, which starred Bradley Stephen Perry.
“Couldn’t be more thrilled to share that my first crack at directing a brief will probably be screened in my home city at BHFF and shut to my home town at CIFF!” he wrote via Instagram on the time. “The chances that these screenings are at some point apart seems unattainable, but please please buy tickets should you are in a position to attend either festival on April 14th or fifteenth. I will probably be attending each festivals!!”
He continued, “Info on tickets is in my bio. Countless lessons were learned on this process and I actually have 1,000,000 thanks to offer to everyone that has helped along the way in which. I could go on and on here, but I’ll save that. Cause really I just wish to keep creating things with my friends. And I hope I get to share rather a lot more of this more often. Jake Short Began a Podcast With Bradley Stephen Perry
Short and Perry began their podcast, “The Sit and Chat,” in 2025. The pair’s most up-to-date episode dropped in January 2025 with guest Olivia Holt.
“Two friends who grew up within the film industry chat with other creatives about their background and opportunities that cause them to pursue their passions,” the summary reads.

The pair initially crossed paths in 2021 while starring in Hulu’s Sex Appeal, where they played onscreen best friends who conduct an experiment on intimacy.

Abdalla’s spokesperson exclusively confirmed to Us in May 2026 that she and Short ended their engagement and went their separate ways.
“As a result of recent interest in Mika’s personal life it might feel remiss to not address that her and Jake aren’t any longer together,” a rep for Abdalla told Us on June 1, 2026. “They proceed to support one another and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
