[WATCH] RCB Stars Pull Off Fun Water Prank on Coach During Title Celebrations

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s title celebrations after their IPL 2026 triumph featured a humorous moment as Tim David and Phil Salt surprised head coach Andy Flower with a bucket of ice-cold water. The playful prank quickly became a talking point amongst fans, who enjoyed the duo’s light-hearted antics throughout the celebrations.

The video of the incident gained widespread attention on social media, with many supporters describing David and Salt as two of probably the most entertaining personalities within the RCB camp. Their mischievous act added to the memorable scenes following the franchise’s championship win.

Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB produced a commanding performance against Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans in the ultimate on the Narendra Modi Stadium. After restricting GT to 155 runs, Bengaluru comfortably chased down the goal, powered by an unbeaten 75 from Virat Kohli.

Celebrations erupted when Kohli sealed the victory with a six within the 18th over. Amid the jubilant scenes, players also acknowledged the contribution of the coaching staff, with Andy Flower receiving special praise for his role within the team’s success. Flower, who joined RCB from the Lucknow Super Giants in August 2023, has been instrumental in reshaping the franchise.

Under his leadership, the team built a balanced squad, placing faith in experienced seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar alongside Josh Hazlewood with the brand new ball, while also backing Krunal Pandya to evolve into one among the competition’s best and inventive spin-bowling options.

The strategy paid off as RCB produced dominant performances throughout the league stages in each the 2025 and 2026 seasons, before maintaining their momentum within the playoffs and ultimately lifting the trophy.

Tim David Faces Setback Despite RCB’s Title Triumph

While Tim David had plenty to have fun after RCB’s title triumph, the Australian power-hitter also faced disciplinary motion for an incident throughout the final. Despite being in high spirits following the victory, David was penalised for his on-field behaviour throughout the IPL 2026 final.

Because of this, he has been handed a one-match suspension and can miss Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s opening game of the 2027 season after throwing an ice bag towards umpire Nitin Menon throughout the clash against Gujarat Titans.
