LEGO Batman Hits Switch 2 September 18, Joker DLC Same Day

After launching on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC back in May, TT Games’ LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight finally has a date for the version Switch 2 owners have been waiting on, with Warner Bros. Games confirming a September 18 release. Preorders are open now, with the Standard Edition running $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition $89.99. The identical day also brings the Mayhem Collection DLC across every platform, adding a brand new Mayhem Mode with The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters for Deluxe Edition owners.

On Switch 2, the Deluxe Edition is where a lot of the extras live. Owners get the Legacy Collection at launch, a trio of packs themed across the Batman: Arkham games, the Batman Beyond series, and party music, together with the Mayhem Collection and, for physical buyers, a free LEGO Retro Video Game Batman minifigure while supplies last. Every Switch 2 preorder, Standard or Deluxe, also throws in The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, drawn from the acclaimed comic.

The Mayhem Collection is the larger draw across the board, and it shouldn’t be a Switch 2 exclusive. It arrives September 18 for Deluxe Edition owners on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, packing the brand new Mayhem Mode, a brand new story mission, and the Sinister Pack, which adds seven recent suits, five recent Batcave items, and a brand new Batmobile for the open world. Anyone who already owns the Standard Edition on those other platforms can grab the Deluxe upgrade for $24.99, unlocking the Legacy Collection straight away and the Mayhem Collection when it lands.

Developed by TT Games, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an open-world spin on Bruce Wayne’s road from origin to legend, with an original story that pulls from many years of Batman movies, shows, comics, and games on top of the same old pile of LEGO humor.
