Ryback Defends CM Punk’s Jacked Physique Against Steroid Talk

Ryback has defended CM Punk after a recent workout video of Punk’s muscular physique led to fresh steroid speculation online.

Speaking on Twitter, Ryback said Punk’s current look doesn’t “scream steroid abuse” and as an alternative shows a stronger and healthier version of himself. He suggested that heavier training, higher nutrition, recovery, sleep, and lower stress can all explain the change. The ex-WWE star said,

“There’s been a number of talk recently about CM Punk’s improved physique and the same old speculation that comes with it. Is he on steroids? TRT? HRT? The truth is no person knows except him and the medical professionals involved, if any. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: happiness is a alternative, and being indignant and complaining is a alternative. All of us have free will.

“Once I take a look at Punk’s physique, I don’t see something that screams steroid abuse. I see a stronger, healthier version of his previous self. There are a number of things that may create that result. Training heavier in lower rep ranges can add thickness and density to muscles. Higher nutrition, higher recovery, higher sleep, lower stress, eliminating seed oils, and easily being more consistent can all result in significant improvements.

“Could TRT or HRT be involved? Sure, it’s possible. But when someone has medically low testosterone or hormone levels, restoring them to healthy levels is about health and quality of life. It shouldn’t be something individuals are shamed for. There’s an enormous difference between optimizing health and abusing performance-enhancing drugs. Having been under the WWE Wellness Program myself, I understand the foundations and requirements. Personally, I don’t consider CM Punk is abusing steroids. I consider he’s likely made positive changes, and whatever he’s doing appears to be working.”

“What I find interesting is how much body shaming exists in pro wrestling. People complain about Mason Rook due to how he looks. People complain about CM Punk because he improved his physique. It seems irrespective of what someone does, there’s all the time a gaggle trying to criticize. Personally, I’m completely happy to see him looking healthy and robust. And possibly now he understands why the term ‘steroid guy’ was never the proper label for somebody like me. I’ve been against steroid abuse since I used to be very young, but I’ve all the time been for optimal health and becoming the perfect version of ourselves. And that’s the last bite. Feed Me More!”

Punk has been off WWE TV for the reason that RAW after WrestleMania 42. He lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns within the foremost event of WrestleMania Sunday in Las Vegas, NV.
