Chatting with Screen, Pandit emphasised that if Shinde’s claims are accurate, they warrant serious scrutiny and condemnation. Pandit stated, “If what Shilpa Shinde said within the podcast is true, it deserves strong condemnation.”
He added that even in cases where producers remain silent to guard their crew and keep the show running, it doesn’t justify false accusations. He explained that false allegations can severely damage an individual’s repute, profession, and mental health, while also making it harder for real victims to be believed.
“Every false accusation weakens trust in those that come forward with real experiences,” Pandit said, stressing that deliberately in search of to break someone’s life and repute is “completely unacceptable.” FWICE, the federation representing employees, technicians, and craft unions in India’s film and TV industry, has been on the centre of ongoing discussions about accountability and ethics.
